WORKSHOPS & BOOTCAMPS
Train beyond the regular classes

Throughout the year, ISDS organises workshops and bootcamps alongside our regular weekly training.

These events create the opportunity to focus on specific skills, explore particular aspects of self-defence and martial arts in greater depth, and experience training in a different and more intensive setting.

Whether you want to discover a specific subject during a focused workshop or challenge yourself through an intensive bootcamp, there are different ways to take your training further.

TWO WAYS TO TRAIN BEYOND THE REGULAR CLASSES
Go deeper. Train longer. Experience more.

Alongside our regular weekly classes, ISDS offers two additional ways to take your training further.

Our 3-hour workshops focus on a specific martial art, technique or theme in greater depth, while our 15–20 hour bootcamps offer an intensive weekend of training across different fighting systems and styles.

Two different formats, each offering more time to practise, develop your skills and gain new training experience.

WORKSHOPS
3 hours · Focused, in-depth training

Our workshops are three-hour training sessions designed to explore a specific martial art, technique or theme in greater depth.

Each workshop starts with a thorough warm-up, followed by technical instruction and practical drills where participants put the techniques they have learned into practice.

The programme varies depending on the theme and general interest. Workshops may focus on Wing Chun Kung Fu, Thai Boxing, Escrima, MMA, Kickboxing, Wrestling or Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do.

Comfortable sportswear is recommended. Depending on the workshop, personal protective equipment may also be used.

BOOTCAMPS
15–20 hours · One intensive weekend

Our bootcamps offer a much more intensive training experience, with 15 to 20 hours of training spread over two days.

Throughout the weekend, participants move through different fighting systems and styles. Training includes a thorough warm-up with muscle-strengthening exercises, stretching, yoga and coordination work, followed by technical training and extensive drilling with different partners.

Participants train with the body's natural weapons as well as different defensive weapons, including sticks, knives and daggers, developing their skills through repeated practice and interaction with different training partners.

Comfortable sportswear is recommended. Participants may also bring their own training equipment, such as Thai pads, kick pads, hand pads and training weapons.
